Hi, I’m Natalie.
I moved from Maryland to New York City at 17 to attend LIM College, where I studied Fashion Marketing for two years before transferring to the University of Arkansas (I know—wildly different).
After graduating in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, I started my job search and eventually took a sales position in White Plains, NY. After just one day of training, I quickly realized that role wasn’t for me. That night, I stayed up late applying for new opportunities—hoping for something that truly fit in the midst of such uncertain times.
The next afternoon, I got a call from a company in the Garment District—the one job I really wanted. After my second day of sales training, I stepped out to take their call, which led to an in-person interview the next morning. I arrived in the city three hours early and sat in a coffee shop across the street from the design studio, preparing for what I hoped would be my dream job.
The day after the interview, I received an offer. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this new job would introduce me to a craft I’d completely fallen for—embroidery.
Now, four years later—after gaining experience in website design, marketing, and events, moving out of the city, starting a new job, and moving back to New York with my now husband—I’m proud to introduce NYCE [pronounced “NICE”] – New York Custom Embroidery. What began as curiosity has grown into a true passion, and I’m excited to bring that to life through custom embroidery experiences for events across New York City, New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, and beyond.
